Project 365 #304 - Crazy Clean Freak

Day 304 - Crazy Clean Freak - Today I was like a woman possessed, I woke up and had the urge to clean EVERYTHING! There really is nothing better than a house that smells like cleaning products and fresh linen.  Our spare room always smells the best as that's where I dry my washing if the weather is crap outside.  I then put my feet up for 5 and had dinner at my parents house and then as usual I went for my Sunday swim.

Project 365 #303 - Halloween Special

Day 303 - Halloween Special - Today I baked, painted my nails, painted my face orange and went to a halloween party as a pumpkin!

The cupcakes are just a basic chocolate sponge with butter icing using green food colouring.  I then wrote RIP on a mini Vienesse biscuits with an icing pen, stuck it in the cupcake, sprinkled chocolate strands on as mud and voila you've got yourself a gravestone cupcake.  For my nails I used the Model's Own nail art pen to draw on little spiderwebs.  I hope y'all have a fabulous Halloween!

Project 365 #302 - This is happening...

Day 302 - This is happening... as soon as husband comes home ON TUESDAY!!!!excited much?? Maisy Dog is in serious need of a wash and cut and we have decided to take the plunge and buy some clippers for a little DIY job.  Hopefully I won't humiliate my dog too much and she'll end up looking beautiful and not bald.

Project 365 #301 - Footloose

Everything Topshop
Scarf - New Look

Day 301 - Footloose - This evening I went to the cinema to watch Footloose with my girlfriends.  I must confess I haven't seen the original but I really enjoyed the remake.  I'm a sucker for any film that involves dancing and baby seemed to enjoy it too as it was dancing around in my belly throughout the whole film!  Gotta say Julianne Hough is rather annoyingly perfect!

Project 365 #300 - Nude Nails

Day 300 - Nude Nails - Apparently pregnancy is supposed to give you amazing nails........I'm 26 weeks and still waiting for this to happen??  Whilst I wait for this little miracle I have painted them a barely there nude colour, Bourjois Rose Lounge.... you know that famous colour that our lovely Kate Middleton wore on her wedding day.  It is so subtle but I like it.

Project 365 - #293-#299

Day 293
My new Christmas hole punches (im going to attempt to make my own Christmas Cards and Labels)

Day 294
Homemade Pumpkin Soup – I made a massive batch of pumpkin soup using THIS recipe, it is blooming delicious

Day 295
My new sleeping companion – The Dreamgenii.  Can't wait to introduce husband to this when he comes home, I’m pretty sure he’s gonna be thrilled about it!

Day 296
Banana and Chocolate Hot Chocolate at my local shakeshop – Amazeballs

Day 297
A lovely bunch of flowers – Left on my doorstep by my friends after having a really crappy week.

Day 298
A gift for baby from my lovely friend Mel J

Day 299
Horlicks – My new love, thank you for helping me sleep

I have seriously had NO TIME whatsoever to get onto a computer to update my blog this week, hence the picture overload!!  Its been a bit of a crappy week really, after my last post I received some rubbish news that Dylan was going to be sent away AGAIN from 22 Dec - 18 Jan which means he would be away for another Christmas let alone the fact that it is 2 weeks before the baby is due.  Bearing in mind he's not even back from Oman yet I didn't take this news very well.  However they have managed to find someone else to send in his place (phew) which is a massive relief,  but it kinda brought it home that no matter what, he is always going to miss out on important things whilst he stays in the RAF and he's had enough of missing out on everything.  I'm not really sure where we go from here as leaving the forces is something that requires a lot of thought, but its looking like it could be an option??? Who knows???

Project 365 #292 - My dog is a tea hag!

Day 292 - My dog is a tea hag! - My little Maisy dog loves a cup of tea almost as much as Dyl and I.  She knows exactly what I'm saying when I say "do you want a cuppa" and runs out to the kitchen and stands by her bowl like a good girl whilst I get a brew on, I love how lush my dog is!

Quick question... did anyone watch the Kardashian Wedding?  STUNNING!

Project 365 #291 - Rimmel Camouflage Chic

Day 291 - Rimmel Camouflage Chic - Currently rocking khaki nails, what do you think?

This evening involved speaking to husband on the phone and getting all excited talking about the baby, dinner at an Indian restaurant for my friends mums birthday, trying peshwari naan bread for the first time (gotta tell you, that stuff is blowing my mind) scoffing birthday cake and getting an early night.

Project 365 #290 - A really great freebie

Day 290 -  A really great freebie - Today I noticed in Marie Claire magazine that they were giving away a 30ml tube of L'Occitane hand cream.  I actually picked up the large version of this cream as a Christmas present for my sister yesterday as she loves the stuff.  It smells absolutely divine and is like silk on your skin. Go get it while you can, there is a choice of 4 different creams!

Had my usual sunday swim tonight and I'm currently sat in my PJ's, post shower, drenched in the Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Butter, face mask on, watching the Kardashian wedding on E!  winding down before the start of another week.

Check out the bumper!!

Day 288 - It's time for fairisle  - It's cold, It's Autumn, It's October, It's officially time to crack open the Fairisle PJ's.  Believe it or not I bought these fleecy PJ's from Primark in July, yep that's right I was thinking of Winter when it was still Summer.  They are so soft and warm and I think I might be a tad in love with them.

Project 365 #287 - Currently Loving......

Day 287 - Currently Loving...... CHEESE SPREAD & HAM SARNIES.  My friend mentioned that she had given her gorgeous little 7 month old girl (who just so happens to be my god daughter) cheese spread sandwiches a few days ago and since that day I have been dreaming about them.   So this is my current love, I simply can't get enough of them.  Oh and btw the crisps are Wheat Crunchies in Worcester Sauce flavour, yummers!

Had my usual pregnancy yoga session this evening which I found really beneficial as I've been getting terrible back ache these last few days, so it felt really good to stretch it out!

Project 365 #286 - A lovely box of chocs....the white ones are to die for

Day 286 - A lovely box of chocs....the white ones are to die for - Today I went to work to find that I had been nominated for the Extra Mile, Excellence and Innovation award.  In case you didn't know I work as a medical secretary for my local hospital.  I was so thrilled to even be considered for such an award.  Then this afternoon I was given a lovely box of chocolates by one of my colleagues, she told me they were for being so nice to her :-)  how sweet is that!  I love Lindt chocs but have only ever tried the standard milk chocolate ones but the white ones are rocking my world right now!!

In other news I had my flu jab today, so stay away swine, me and baby don't want you coming anywhere near us!

Project 365 #285 - Thumbs up to the A* Student

Day 285 - Thumbs up to the A* Student - Today I spent the day in college taking my Key Skills Exams and completing my NVQ 2 in Team Leading.  I literally only found out I needed to take the Key Skills exams last week as I was originally told that I didn't need to do them as I had already completed them in 2003 but because it was over 5 years ago I had to redo them all again BOO HISSSS!!!!  So after attending no lessons and having no time to even prepare myself I was thrown into doing my Application of Number and Communication exams today and to my surprise I aced them, 100% and 97%. Chuffed as nuts!

Project 365 #284 - Sitting by the phone

Day 284 - Sitting by the phone - Mondays are now spent sitting by the phone waiting for husband to call.  I get two 15 minute phonecalls a week one on a Monday and another on Friday, luckily we have e-mail to fill in the gaps of the week.

We mostly talk about the baby and how excited we are to become parents.  And then there's the other really interesting things like the weather, and what I had for dinner!

Project 365 #283 - Never change a good thing

Day 283 - Never change a good thing - This may seem a bit of a strange post but I have this thing about the toothpaste that I use.  In fact i'm like it with a lot of other things too, don't even get me started on deodorant.  I have been using this toothpaste for about  8 years and in that time I have tried others but it has got to the point now that if it ain't aquafresh multi-action + whitening I don't wanna touch it! It comes down to that good old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Do you have a particular brand of product that you stick to?

Project 365 #282 - Black Bottom Girls

Day 282 - Black Bottom Girls - Hummingbird Black Bottom Cupcakes are still my all time favourite!  I whipped these up on Saturday afternoon (I have made them so many times) and enjoyed eating them with friends whilst watching X-Factor.  Oh and by the by.......... I am totally loving the Yeo Valley Advert - Yeah WESTCOUNTRY ROCKS!!!!

Project 365 #281 - MAC Ruby Woo

Day 281 - MAC Ruby Woo - Look what Mothership brought back from Florida for me - she's the best!  I know I keep harping on about Christmas but.........this really is the perfect shade for Christmas parties or date nights.  Oh hurry up and come home husband so that we can have lots of lovely date nights and I can wear this lippy!!

Project 365 #280 - Nappy Mountain

Day 280 - Nappy Mountain - I'm getting a rather nice collection of nappies, wetwipes, baby grows etc.... Basically I pick something up at the supermarket every week, I figured it would be a good idea to stretch it out over the 9 months rather than bulk buying at the last minute.  I can't wait for husband to come home so that we can pick out bits for the nursery!

Project 365 #279 - Putting pen to paper

Day 279 - Putting pen to paper - People don't seem to write letter's in this day and age!  I always try and write to Dylan when he is away for any long period of time.  I just think there is something really exciting and special about receiving a hand written letter.  When I was at school......you know, the days before mobile phones and you used to always have 10p on you in case you needed to phone your mum from a phonebox (don't even get me started on the lack of phonebox use) I used to write letters to my friends every evening, even though I had spent the whole day with them at school I would put pen to paper and the words would literally just flow from that ballpoint pen.  So this evening I wrote a love letter to my husband..... ok i'm lying, it wasn't a love letter, just merely a letter about what me and the bumper have been up to, but it felt good. Oh and letters are free to send to the forces (via bluey) so no need for a stamp, another reason to get writing!

Project 365 #278 - Getting Crafty for Christmas

Day 278 -  Getting Crafty for Christmas  - Picked up this little gem in Tesco today and I quite literally want to make EVERYTHING in it!  Its packed full of little craft ideas for Christmas and it also has some really great gift ideas.  I figure i'm going to have a lot of time on my hands this Christmas as I plan to start my maternity leave on 2 December so I might as well keep myself busy making pretty things.

I love Christmas!  Its safe to say Oct/Nov/Dec are my favourite months of the year.

Project 365 #277 - Someone needs a haircut!

Day 277 - Someone needs a haircut! - Maisy is in desperate need for a wash and haircut.  I kinda like her a bit shaggy looking but her fur gets so matted and she hates it when I try and brush her.  My groomer had to cancel her last appointment 3 weeks ago and they can't fit her in until 4 November arrrgghh.

Went to see my big sis this evening.  They have just come back from 2 weeks in Florida, they also went with my mum and dad so I have been well and truly abandoned over the last couple of weeks what with husband in Oman until November too, I felt like Kevin from Home Alone!! So its really nice to have the fam back.

Project 365 #276 - Moth Chrysalis

Day 276 - Moth Chrysalis - Took advantage of this glorious sunshine we have been having and got my garden in shape because lets face it, that cold crisp weather is just around the corner (aren't we supposed to be getting snow next week or something?) so I cut the grass, strimmed the edges and dug up a load of weeds.  Whilst brushing up the patio I came across this moth chrysalis.  I've got to say, when I first saw it I thought it was Maisy's poo haha so when it started wriggling I was a little bit surprised.  Speaking of things wriggling, that little human being in my belly seems to be wriggling about a lot more these days, it really is the best feeling and instantly makes me smile :-)

Project 365 #275 - I got a new do!

Before                                                                                      After

Day 275 - I got a new do! - Ta Da!  I am so happy with my new autumn/winter hair......even if we are having a random heatwave in England at the moment!  The colour is just the right shade not too dark with a hint of warmth and I am in love with the cut.  It may not look anything special here but I've had lots of lovely soft layers cut in and the ends feel so nice and blunt (rather than frazzled and dry).  She told me I really needed to go for it with the intensive treatments as my ends were so dry thanks to all the bleaching from being ombre.  I'll probably need to re-dye my hair sooner rather than later as I'm sure it will fade pretty fast given the amount of bleach I covered over.

Project 365 #274 - Getting my hair did!

Day 274 - Getting my hair did! - A new season calls for a new do, although Autumn seems to have taken a back seat whilst summer has decided to shine through for a few final days.  I decided to bite the bullet and dye my hair.  I used the loreal richesse dia color professional range in shades 7 & 7.31 mixed with the richesse developer (these are the same colours my hairdresser used on my hair back when I first had my hair dyed brunette)  It is a semi permanant hair colour which I prefer to use as it makes  recolouring easier (you don't get different root colour when doing touch ups) and is less damaging and doesn't have any of the harmful chemicals that permanent hair dye has, great for us pregnant ladies!

I'm off to the hairdressers tomorrow (Saturday) to have a proper cut (I haven't had my hair cut in 1 1/2 years!!) so check out my next post for the finished look.  I can't wait to get pampered and get those scraggly ends cut off.

Project 365 #273 - Say Cheese!

273 - Say Cheese! - Went to the dentist to give the gnashers a good old MOT.  Now call me weird but i actually enjoy going to the dentist especially when they give them a good polish, there's nothing better than smooth shiny teeth.  My dentist is always really complimentary, he always says the same thing to me every time "very nice.....very nice indeed".  I must be doing something right!  And whats even better is that preggo's get free dental treatment.......please can we be clear that this is not the reason I got knocked up!  Oh and if your wondering what that shade of lippy is that im wearing its Shanghai Red by Chanel (I think its discontinued *sorry*) and Chanel lip gloss in number 69 over the top.

Keep Smiling (go on get your gnashers out)
