Project 365 #149 - Compulsive Magazine Buyer

Day 149 - I have a terrible habit of buying lots of magazines although most of them have the same gossip in them.   Weekly favourites are Heat and Look and monthly favourites are Cosmo and Ideal Home haha.  I'm also a sucker for any of those freebie magazines that you can pick up in Tesco, Boots, Superdrug, Asda.

Dylan has been away on a Stag Do this weekend and came home today sounding like he had smoked a thousand fags (he doesn't smoke btw).  It sounds like he had an awesome time.  It's nice to have him home, I was starting to get a little annoyed that he was off work but wasn't spending time with me, haha I'm such a selfish wife.

Project 365 #148 - Falsies

Day 148 - Today I had to pop into town to pick up a few essentials.  I needed to get some lashes for the wedding that I'm going to next weekend and also a belt to go with my dress.  The Kimberley lashes by Eylure are my absolute favourite and I actually do get quite a lot of comments when I wear them, I really do recommend them.  Whilst I was in town I also picked up some light ash brown hair dye (that brassiness likes to make a comeback every now and then) a cucumber face mask and some E45 cream.

I then spent the evening at Amy's watching Titanic (It brought back my love for Leo so bad) and eating chinese food, just what I needed after being bruised and battered from the fairground rides yesterday.

Project 365 #147 - Fun Fair

Day 147 - Today I went to the Fair with my girlfriends Amy and Charlotte and had amazing fun.

The fair comes to town every year at Whitsun and although I haven't been to the funfair in years, I do love the thrill of fairground rides (although I was a little bit scared when I saw that they were held up with balancing pieces of wood!!) So after being spun around a few hundred times I decided to call it a day and went home with my bag of pink candyfloss.

Project 365 #146 - ♥ Peonies

Day 146 - ♥ Peonies - Yay its peony season.  My beloved husband found these whilst doing the weekly food shop today.  I was going for the standard tulips (like I do every week) and then he piped up that there were peonies.  They are one of my favourite flowers (along with gerberas, roses, dafodils, tulips) and look at how beautiful they look on my table.  I want to buy more and put them in every room of my house.

Friday tomorrow, cannot wait for the long weekend, I just wish summer would be here already.  I actually wore my uggs today!! this time last year I was in flip flops and had sunburn, what a difference a year makes hey.

Project 365 #145 - Oh Olivia

Day 145 - Oh Olivia - She may have been a bit of a cow bag in The City but damn has that girl got style.  Whilst flicking through this weeks Look mag my eyes were drawn to this page.  I love everything about this outfit, the cute little polka dot skirt, the beautiful drapy knit and those amazing cat eye shades (I think I need them).  Most of all I love how happy, beautiful and sophisticated Olivia looks, and WOW check out the Mulberry ♥

This picture makes me want to dye my hair brown all over and sport a centre parting hmmmmmm

Project 365 #144 - Bubbles & Candles

Day 144 - Bubbles & Candles - Today has been hella busy, had a long and busy day at work, had party tea for my nieces 7th birthday then had to dash to college for (as my mum calls it) "Camera Club" and to top it all off I have had THE worst back ache and it has progressively got worse throughout the day, cue a warm bubble bath, candles and a cup of tea.  I'm now about to put the kettle on again and fill up my hot water bottle to try and ease the pain urrgghhh

Project 365 #143 - Glued to the sofa

Day 143 - Glued to the sofa - Brrrr its cold.  Spent the evening wrapped in this blanket watching Tron, which was an OK kinda film, it probably didn't help that I was ridiculously tired and could hardly keep my eyes open.  Time for some early nights I think.

Project 365 #142 - Dunelm Mill

Day 142 - Dunelm Mill - Had a pretty chilled Sunday. My friend Charlotte stayed at my house on Saturday night after the hen night so we then went for a Starbucks in the morning and was joined by our other friends Amy & Matthew.  We then took a trip to Dunelm Mill as I have never been there and a new store has just opened in Truro, they had some really lovely home furnishings there.  I picked up a couple of bits including this little mat to put Maisy's food and water bowls on because my dog is a very messy drinker, she literally gets water everywhere.

Project 365 #141 - Teacher Theme Hen Party

Day 141 - Teacher Theme Hen Party - Saturday night I went out on a Hen Night for my friend Danielle who is getting married in a couple of weeks time.  She works as a teacher so it was decided that the theme for the night would be teachers.  We all had sashes made and donned our spectacles which I had to order from ebay as I have better than perfect eyes according to my optician (I don't know how you can get any better than perfect but whatevs) I stupidly ordered a pair that had +1 strength thinking they would be fine but they actually made me feel a little bit sick and made me look a bit cross eyed haha.  After having a few cocktails at her house we then went cruising in a hummer limo and then danced the night away in the bars/clubs, had a fab night.

Project 365 #140 - Warehouse Plisse Dress

Day 140 - Warehouse Plisse Dress - I mentioned in a previous post that I was looking for a nice dress for my friends wedding in a couple of weeks time, after spending a day in town I came home empty handed and ordered this dress from the Warehouse website.  I tried it on and I'm really pleased with how it looks although I feel like I want to get a cream or white ribbon/belt to go round the middle.

Spent the evening at my sisters helping make a cake for my nieces 7th birthday.  The cake was a giant number 7 with fondant icing and pink butterfly's and glitter (everything a 7 year old girl could ever wish for really),  I'm pretty sure my sister will put a pic of it up on her blog eventually so you will be able to see it. I  was pretty impressed with our effort.  We then ended up having a rather hilarious evening which involved burning bras, its safe to say when my sister and I get together we always laugh and are complete nutters.  Love you big sis x

Project 365 #139 - I'm a Tea Snob

Project 365 #139 - I'm a Tea Snob - Whilst doing the weekly shop in Tesco this week I noticed that Twinings English Breakfast tea was half price.  This is by far my favourite blend of tea (I am a massive tea drinker) and I am a bit of a snob when it comes to which one I drink.  I won't ever buy a supermarket brand (I know I know, there's probably nothing wrong with them) it either has to be Tetley, Typhoo, PG Tips or Twinings.  I blame the restaurant chain Giraffe for introducing me to Twinings English Breakfast and turning me into a tea snob!  If you have never tried this tea before, I suggest you do, you will notice the difference!

Project 365 #138 - It's time to get NAKED!

Day 138 - It's time to get NAKED! - Oh I do love it when the post man brings me these lovely parcels.  I FINALLY got the Naked palette from Urban Decay.  I was so excited when I saw that it was back in stock on the Debenhams website with money off and free delivery (£28.80 instead of £32.00) as they sold out in ricidiculous time the last time they were on the website I thought I'd better snap it up quick this time and boy am I glad I did as it seems they have sold out AGAIN.  I won't go on about it too much as most people already know how amazing this palette is. The colours are amazing and it also comes with an eyeshadow brush and primer.

I also got  these 5 samples of Juicy Coutures fragance "Couture Couture" in the post today.  I tried this fragrance when I went to Plymouth in March but stupidly sprayed it onto a piece of card rather than my actual skin (Silly Sammy) .  As it smelt so good and nowhere in Cornwall sells this perfume I managed to find these tester samples on ebay, i'm hoping that someone *hint hint Dylan* will buy this for me as a present (I always feel like perfume is something that should be bought for you as a gift rather than buying it for yourself).  It's our 5 year wedding anniversary next month so maybe if I drop enough hints I might get it, heres hoping.

Project 365 #137 - Mmmm Strawbs

Day 137 - Mmmm Strawbs - I have had a whole day and evening of college today and I feel like I have learnt SO much.  I spent the day at my NVQ workshop which was really productive and I actually enjoyed it quite a lot, my assessor is so motivating and it really does rub off on you so I left there feeling really good about myself.  I then had my photography course this evening and had a lot of fun learning how to use Photoshop.  Unfortunately I had to miss my friend Matthew's birthday meal tonight because of all of this learning that I am doing but Dylan went.

Just devoured these delicious strawberrys with yoghurt and I'm now waiting for Dylan to come home from the meal.

What a busy day!

Project 365 #136 - Finally a fridge that works

Day 136 - Finally a fridge that works - I know I know, its a boring picture of my fridge but when you have been living with a fridge that acts more like a freezer you will understand my excitement.  We picked this up from Comet and said goodbye to our rubbish Hotpoint fridge.   We went for white as we plan to redo our kitchen in white gloss eventually, so it ties in with our reasonably new washing machine quite nicely (our old HOTPOINT one broke, I have nothing but hate for hotpoint).

Took half a day at work as I have soooo much homework to do for my NVQ in Team Leadership and also my photography course.  Finishing work at 12 felt amazing, I wish I could do it everyday!

Project 365 #135 - Cleaning my brushes and sorting my life out!

Day 135 - Cleaning my brushes and sorting my life out! - Had a day of sorting on Sunday.  I started my day by painting the tallboy that is in my spare room white and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.  I then decided to clean out my cupboards, sort out all of my clothes in my drawers, sort out all of my paperwork (bills, receipts, payslips etc) and clean my make up brushes.  It felt really good to get everything in order.  I then had Roast Chicken round my parents house, mums cooking really is the best.

Project 365 #134 - Flying the flag for Eurovision

Day 134 - Flying the flag for Eurovision - Does anyone remember that god damn awful song that Scooch did for Eurovision a few years back "Were flying the flag" TRAGIC air hostess outfits and dance moves! You've gotta love Eurovision though haven't you.

Spent the morning in town looking for a dress for a wedding that I am attending next month, unfortunately I came home empty handed.........well not entirely empty handed, I did buy THIS top from Topshop and a new shirt for Dylan.  I then came home and ordered a dress from Warehouse, so not all bad.

To support Blue I spent the afternoon baking blue cupcakes, painting my nails blue and wearing an entirely blue outfit for a Eurovision party that my sister hosted.  This has go to be my current fave nail polish by Barry M (Cyan Blue) such a fab colour.  I thought Blue did a great job as did Jedward (I can't help but love those boys).

Project 365 #132 - Water for Elephants

Day 132 - Water for Elephants - Busy day today, went straight to Tesco after work to do the weekly food shop, came home, ate my dinner, cut the grass in the back garden (I did the front garden yesterday) took this pic of Maisy playing with her toy on the freshly cut grass, then went to the cinema with Amy to watch Water for Elephants which was a fantastic movie if a bit sad (I wasn't prepared for tears) I definitely recommend it though and it was way better than Scream 4 which was the last movie I watched.

Project 365 #131 - New project - Painting everything I see white

Day 131 - New project - Painting everything I see white - It seems I have a new obsession with the colour white.  I basically want all of my rooms (bar the lounge) to be painted white and all the furniture in them to be white.

This chest of drawers was actually taken from when I lived with my parents.  I have massive hatred for the colour of pine so guess what Mr Tallboy your being painted WHITE, hopefully this weekend.

In other news.......... I mowed the lawn, cut my dads hair, and then went for a walk with mum, dad and the pooch.  The weather was so beautiful this evening.

Project 365 #130 - You call that a fridge??

Day 130 - You call that a fridge?? - Ordered a new fridge because quite frankly this is more like a freezer.  Look at that massive block of ice at the back (it seems we also have a lot of love for jam in our house).  I cannot wait to get rid of this heap of junk.  Tip of the day - Never buy anything by Hotpoint.  Our previous washing machine was Hotpoint and we had nothing but trouble with it.

Photography course tonight was all about depth of field and we got to use Photoshop (was very excited about this).

Project 365 #129 - Photography Course Week 1

Day 129 - Photography Course Week 1 - You may or may not be aware that I started a photography course last week and our first project was all about shutter speed.  Our task was to get a blurry photo of a moving object.  I took Dylan down the park as my model and also took some photos of moving cars which worked really well but this photo just freaked me out a bit I mean where the hell has Dylan's body gone.  It reminds me of a scene from Back To The Future when Marty starts fading from the photograph (such a classic).

Had Fajita's for dinner - Good times.

Project 365 #128 - Breakfast Muffins

Day 128 - Breakfast Muffins - I'm such a good wife, I cooked these up for breakfast this morning for husband and I and washed it down with a fresh cup of coffee.

Watched our friend play footie today (god, its all I seem to do on a Sunday these days) unfortunately they lost and now I'm starting to think that I may be bringing bad luck because they never seem to win when I watch, hmmmm.  Came home and had Chinese for dinner, now about to tuck into some leftover rhubarb crumble, yummy.  I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. Project 365 #127 - This is why I love Cornwall

Day 127 - This is why I love Cornwall - Sometimes one photo just isn't enough.  We took Maisy down to Gwithian Beach in Hayle which is by far my fave beach in Cornwall.  The weather was weird, I started off all wrapped up in my coat and then by the time I walked down to the beach I was boiling and had to take my coat off.  We then took Maisy home and went to Portreath Beach for an ice cream (I left my camera home so no photo of the ice cream i'm afraid).  Dylan then cooked our dinner (spag bol) whilst I made rhubarb crumble for the first time, and man was it delish, added a dollop of Cornish Clotted Cream which finished it off perfectly.

Project 365 #126 - Dyson never fail

Day 126 - Dyson never fail - The new hoover arrived today, this may seem like a somewhat boring subject but LOOK AT IT doesn't it look like a beast!  I actually can't wait to clean my house haha.  Our old hoover was a hand-me-down from my sister (its also a Dyson) and has lasted us the 7 years that Dylan and I have been living together but to be fair, it has seen better days, so out with the old in with the new.

Had Domino's for dinner and then watched Insidious in Falmouth cinema (they have 2 seater sofa's with little tables don't you know!!) Dylan and I love a good horror movie so this was perfect for us.  Dylan actually jumped out of his skin on a couple of occasions which then just set me off in a fit of giggles (I apologize to the people sat near to us) It was a good film though and we then talked about it the whole journey home, does anyone else love analyzing a film after watching it?

Project 365 #125 - Re-Ombred

Day 125 - Re-Ombred - Please excuse the bare, make up free face and PJ's but I had just got out of the shower and was actually ready for bed.  So I re-ombred my hair and I am super pleased with how it turned out this time.  I took the highlights further up my hair this time as I still had a lot of really dark in the middle section of my hair (It was darker than my roots) I then threw the usual ash blonde hair dye over the top of it to tone it down and this is the result I got :-)  I will probably need to use another hair dye for the mid section again though as I can foresee orange tinges coming back.

Project 365 #124- Bombay Potatoes

Day 124 - Bombay Potatoes - Hola Chica's.  Cooked Bombay Potatoes for din dins tonight.  You might find it a bit weird that I had brocolli with it but I actually love veg and like to mix random things together (my mum makes me pasta with my roast dinner yep PASTA instead of roasties).

I had planned on re-ombreing my hair tonight but cleaning, cooking and youtube all got in the way so I plan on doing it tomorrow instead.  Nothing else to report really.

Project 365 #123 - Present from Selfridges

Day 123 - Present from Selfridges - Today I was given this little well known yellow bag by one of my work colleagues and inside was a M.A.C eyeshadow in the colour Expensive Pink.  HAPPY HAPPY GIRL.

I had mentioned in a previous blog post that I had to cancel my annual leave at Easter/Royal Wedding time due to another member of staff booking a trip to London before checking anyone else was off, I was a little pissed about this to say the least but this gift totally made up for it (I had joked that she could bring me back a Mulberry Bayswater haha).

Me and Big Sis had our first day of our photography course today, It was good fun and I can't wait to make a  portfolio of my photos.  Also speaking of my sister, she has recently started a blog so I suggest you all go and check her out HERE because she is awesome.

Project 365 #122 - Nivea Product Rave

Day 122 - Nivea Product Rave - Ok so I wanted to share with you the moisturiser that i'm currently using.  Its Nivea Visage Daily Essentials Rich Moisturising Day Cream, I've been using it for just over a week and I only have good things to say about it really.  It smells divine, is really creamy and "moisturising", sinks into the skin rather nicely leaving a little bit of a dewy finish and I also like the fact that it has SPF 15 in it.  I had previously been using the Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser but as I am getting on a bit (I'm 27 now) I felt I could probably do with something a bit richer and thicker.  So I saw this and was totally sold on the words "RICH MOISTURISING" and so far I'm loving it.

Had a bit of a chilled day today, Dylan was a bit tender from last nights drinking session so we just lazed about the house and I ordered a new hoover and house telephones from Amazon, bloomin love that site.

Project 365 #121 - Dylan's Cup Final

Day 121 - Dylan's Cup Final - Dylan had his Football Cup Final today and had strict instructions to turn up in a white shirt, black trousers and the club tie. I had to snap a pic of him because he looked so bloody handsome. Being the supportive wife that I am I went to watch the game and as it turns out they lost (boooooooo) the score was 2-1.  Dylan was not happy but soon perked up after a few beers.  I left him down the pub and spent the evening with my friend Amy cooing over her gorgeous 7 week old daughter.

Project 365 #120 - Typical Bank Holiday

Day 120 - Typical Bank Holiday - Today in true bank holiday style I took a trip to some DIY/Electrical stores to see what they had on offer.  First stop was Homebase where I managed to order my Laura Ashely wallpaper with 30% off (WINNER) we then took a trip to Currys and Comet to check out the TV's as we want to get one hung on our bedroom wall, whilst we were there we decided that we also needed a new hoover, fridge and house telephones haha.  As we are not millionaires we left empty handed and thought we would do some more research and see what we had more need for before committing to buy anything.

This evening I've been searching the net for dresses for a wedding that I'm going to in June.  There are too many lovely frocks out there, I'm loving a lot of dresses on the Rare website recently.
