Christmas got cancelled

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas......... Unfortunately both Dylan and I were poorly on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and it consisted mostly of us sleeping in shifts and sitting on the sofa in our PJ's all day sipping water, we didn't eat a thing...... not exactly the picture I had painted for Fletcher's first Christmas.  To say I felt sorry for myself would be a total understatement.  The good news is Fletcher seemed to still have a great time when we finally opened his presents at 4pm! We went to bed at 8pm on Christmas Day, ROCK AND ROLL.  Next year we're making up for it BIG TIME.  I told Dylan were going to see Santa in Lapland haha.

For once in my life I am actually looking forward to New Years Eve, purely because Christmas was such a let down.  I'm planning to relax at home, have a bath, watch a movie with Dylan with a face mask on and paint my nails.  New Years Day we are all going to my mums for a family dinner/,mini Christmas take 2.

I'll be back soon with my New Years resolutions.

carols by candlelight

This time last year I went along to my local church with a wriggly baby in my belly and a bad back and had a lovely evening singing Christmas Carols by candlelight.

This year I went along with a wriggly baby (but not in my belly) and no back ache and enjoyed it even more. Fletcher really was good as gold and flirted with the ladies in the row behind us whilst I tried to hit the high notes.

There's something about a good old carol service that just gets me all excited for Christmas. This Christmas has been a bit manic, what with me going back to work, Dylan trying to finish off decorating our bathroom and just generally trying to get the Christmas shopping/wrapping done with a 10 month old baby in tow....... but I wouldn't change if for the world! I can't wait to wake up on Christmas morning with my 2 favourite boys and celebrate my first Christmas as a family.

I turned 29 a few weeks ago, I can't believe I'm in the last year of my 20's, I'm ok about it though!  I had a really lovely day spent with lovely people at a restaurant on the river.  We took a stroll along the waters edge and I witnessed something truly amazing.......we spotting a family walking around with a pot of salt in their hand randomly pouring it onto the ground, suddenly a razor clam emerged from the ground, I know it sounds really lame but these things were so weird and I really was quite amazed at how they just suddenly starting poking up through the sand.......easily amused huh!

Look at that face.  Happy as a clam
