Tonight I am dedicating the whole evening to myself.  Dylan is going out with his work mates for a leaving party and so it's just me and Fletch.  Its kinda funny because for the first 10 years of mine and Dylan's relationship we always spent half of the week apart as he his work base was in Oxford and mine was here in Cornwall so I was never short of me time. Fast forward 10 years and Dylan is finally based in Cornwall so me time doesn't really happen so often, not than i'm complaining because boy is it nice to see your husband every day, especially when you have a child, it's super nice to have that extra pair of hands.......but I am very much looking forward to doing my own thing this evening.  I'll probably just have a nice long shower, stick a hair mask on, slather on a big old dose of body butter, possibly a mani/pedi,  watch The Hills boxset have a cup of horlicks and then go to bed with my book.  Perfect.

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday

Oh February, the month of love, I kind of love you.  Your like a little light at the end of that tunnel that I like to call January, I just wish I didn't find you so difficult to pronounce.  Its all because of that silent R which I am incapable of keeping silent!  I do love Feb-roo-ary though.  It's the month that Dylan and I first started dating back in 2002, its also the month of Valentines Day and usually Shrove Tuesday, however this year pancake day is in March {we have the late Easter to thank for that}.  The mornings and evenings start to get noticeably lighter in February too which is always good in my books and your not quite as skint as you were in January due to overspending at Christmas. I also made more of an effort to love myself this month, I started a new skincare regime after my sister introduced me to Caroline Hirons blog {i'm hooked guys, this women is like the Messiah of skincare}, I also had my hair lightened for spring, started taking vitamins and set myself time to relax. So cheers February you've been good and I feel good.

As usual I am being frugal in February.  December and January are always expensive months. Obviously there is Christmas and all the expensive celebrations that come with it and then January your just trying to play catch up.  My best friend Amy's birthday is also in January and it just so happened to be her 30th so we celebrated it with style and stayed in a Woodland Lodge at The Cornwall Hotel in St Austell - it was freaking awesome.  6 girls together for 2 nights, there was a lot of relaxing, pampering, swimming, steaming, sauna-ing, and a ridiculous amount of eating (which i regretted later on when trying to go to bed and felt like a fat bloater-pants which led to an uncomfortable restless night).  I'll add some photos here for you.

Seriously how beautiful are my friends
With my gorgeous sister - my dress is from Topshop and belt (which you actually can't see here) is from H&M
So anyway as I was saying im being frugal this February in fact i'm being frugal for the whole of 2014 as we are trying to save for a new car.  I've got my eye on an Audi A3 as I want something reliable and a bit bigger than my current VW Polo.  Fingers crossed we get one that is less than 5 years old (that's my dream anyway).
Look at it a minute, isn't it beautiful.......you will be mine

When I told Dylan that I was going to do a post about what I ate this Friday he thought I was mad, he said why would anyone care what you've eaten and to be honest i'm not sure anyone really does care but I know that these kinds of posts are actually quite popular so I thought I would go ahead and do it anyway.

So my general diet is pretty good Monday through Thursday and then as soon as it hits Friday I get into weekend mode and I thats when I allow some little treats.

I've been trying out the new Mornflake Very Berry Muesli for the last week and it is extremely tasty as well as being good for you.  Its packed full of berries (the name kinda gives that bit away) but its also got lots of delicious raisins in it too.  I'm a big fan of almonds so I tend to throw in a handful of these also, a splash of milk and i'm good to go.

Lunch was a cheese and ham sarnie with white pepper sprinkled on top and a packet of crinklys (I had the cheese and onion flavour).  This is a pretty standard lunch for me, I nearly always have a sandwich, the fillings aren't always the same though.

Meatballs with peppers, onion and penne pasta in a bolognese sauce.  Simple but It was rather delicious.

Sticky toffee pudding with custard.  The weekend is the only time that I allow myself a dessert so this was a lovely little treat.

I also drank 1 cup of coffee, 3 cups of tea and 2 glasses of water (really need to drink more water!) I had no snacks.  Its not the healthiest "what I ate" but hey its the weekend and at least its honest.

Our little man turned TWO on February 3rd!  I still find it hard to believe that I created this little person and its been the fastest 2 years of my life.  I love watching him grow and its incredible how much they change from one to two. He's turned into this hilarious little guy, Dylan and I crack up on a daily basis, honestly you should hear some of the things he comes out with.  We spent the morning of his birthday at home opening his presents and eating pancakes with strawberries and blueberries and then it was off to McDonalds for lunch followed by an afternoon exploring the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth.  A great day had by all, even the rain didn't dampen our spirits.  We love you so much Fletcher William , your the best thing that ever happened to us.
