This weekend was SO much better than last and it really made me think, no matter how bad your life may feel at that moment in time, that feeling doesn't last forever and the moment will pass eventually.  I really hope I can remember this the next time i'm feeling low.
Standard breakfast, porridge and vitamins//Always working out//Dominos with my friends Amy & Steph.  Its always a pleasure meeting up with these two and we always seem to have the weirdest chats.
Tea + toast in our his and hers mugs//Baking some tasty blueberry breakfast muffins
Having the most amazing spa evening at the Headland Hotel in Newquay. We booked the girls night in package and it was incredible, the VIP suite was filled with lots of nibbles and the most delicious chocolate brownies I have ever had.  Hands down the best Spa I have ever been to.
Matching my perfume to my top//Taking a stroll around Burncoose Gardens.  It was so pretty and made me want a little orange tree for my kitchen window.

Taking a little trip to Bodmin Jail, somebody fell asleep on the car journey//A honeymania bubble bath....AMAZING//Fresh sheets and a good read of my book.

I hope you all had fantastic weekends.  Mine was considerably better than last weekend.

Ok so I know this song was released like ages ago but I loved the video so much and thought Taylor Swift looked effortlessly chic in her all black ensemble and I knew that I wanted to recreate this look one day. Taylor is the queen of the cat eye and red lip combo so I incorporated this also.  The top is a recent purchase from Topshop and the sleeves are that perfect, flattering length cutting off at the elbow.  I also wore my hair straight, which I NEVER do!

Im still not convinced about my hair being poker straight you know.  I think it needs texture!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  Mine is already shaping up to be better than last week.

This year I made it one of my resolutions to really look after my hair. I've been sporting the long bob (lob) for quite some time now and thought I'd try and grow it out to and even longer bob. I have been getting regular trims every 8 weeks (much better than my twice a year haircuts) I have completely stopped using my hairdryer and letting my hair dry naturally. I've also been trying to grow my natural colour out and haven't dyed my hair for almost 7 months now. I starting taking Biotin over a month ago which is doing magical things to the condition of my hair.

Here are the products I am currently using to keep my hair in the best condition possible.

Redken Extreme Shampoo & Conditioner - Amazing stuff, smells great and makes my hair feel as smooth as silk
Kerastase Nutri Thermique Masque - I use this once a week as a deep conditioning mask.  It smells great
Charles Worthington Strength-Repair Heat Defence Spray - I use this every time I wash my hair even though I let my hair dry naturally.  I do use GHD's though so this helps protect my hair
Tangle Teezer - A miracle brush

Moroccan Oil - Its the smallest little bottle but a little goes a long way and it smells incredible
Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Texturising Spray - I love this stuff A LOT and use it on most days. It gives the most amazing volume.
COLAB Extreme volume dry shampoo - My new favourite dry shampoo.  It smells great and is perfect for in between washes.
Tresemme Hair Spray - Hairspray is hairspray is hairspray.  I get whatever's the cheapest.  This one is pretty good.

And to end this post I will leave you with my hairspiration.  This is what we are aiming for guys!!

Sorry these are the only snippets of my weekend this week as it was a pretty bad one.  Don't get me wrong, the weather was beautiful and my daffodils smelt amazing but my poor little boy spent the best part of the weekend hypo with no explanation really.

It got pretty scary on Friday when it took 4 hours to finally bring his bloods back to a good enough level. We almost had to inject him with Glucagon (which is a gigantic needle filled with fast acting sugar, almost like an adrenaline shot btw) we even got the needle out ready to stick it in his leg when one last check of his bloods confirmed he had gone back up to target!  Saturday and Sunday was spent pretty much the same, in hypo hell, checking his blood a million times a day, running out of blood test strips and having to make an emergency visit to Boots 24hr pharmacy, checking him every 2 hours through the night. I got a bit teary and ridiculously anxious about the whole situation and ended up making myself poorly on Monday and today and had to take time off work, something that I NEVER do!  To date I have only had 3 days off sick in the last 14 years!............I know, I deserve an award or something!! My mum looked after me today and brought me tea and toast in bed and looked after Fletcher whilst I got some rest. Mum's are the best aren't they.  I don't know what I would do without mine.

Thankfully I'm feeling much better now as is Fletcher after seeing his paediatric endocrinologist yesterday and making lots of changes to his insulin levels.  Its back to work for me tomorrow and hopefully life can start to feel normal for us all again.  Dylan has been amazing the last couple of days.  He literally looked after the both of us yesterday and had to do everything as I just needed to be in bed and I know he feels just as exhausted as I do, so thanks to my wonderful husband, you're pretty amazing.

Just a really quick outfit post as I am literally just about the shoot out the door to my parents house for tea. I haven't worn make up for the last 3 days due to Fletcher being permanently hypo for the last 3 days, therefore he was my priority not make up!!  Today he is much better thankfully.

I wash my hair every Sunday hence the random braided hairstyle (i don't use a hairdryer) but do you know what I kinda like it.

Ever wondered what vitamins and supplements I take daily? No, didn't think so! Well I'm sharing anyway. I don't take a massive amount, but thought you might find it interesting as they are mostly based around beauty, skin, hair & nails.

I had never tried a collagen drink before so was quite excited to try this. I was a little worried about how it would taste but it's kind of just like Berroca. This stuff works from the inside out. The collagen (Peptan) enhances skin strength and structure, enhances skin hydration, promotes beautiful smooth, firm looking skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It comes in a little sachet which you just stir into a small glass of water and it creates an orange flavoured drink. Since taking this I have noticed an definite improvement in the moisture levels of my skin and it feels much smoother. I have been taking one sachet every morning.

Wassen – Wassen Collagen works out at a competitive £19.99 for 10 sachets, available online at www.efamol.com and in most Boots stores.

I started taking this well over a year ago after reading something about it on Carloine Hirons blog. There are lots of benefits of taking magnesium. For me though my main reasons are to help me to relax before bed and also to prevent those god awful migraines!! I can safely say that since taking one tablet every night before bed I have not had a single migraine (touches wood) whether this is because if the magnesium I have no idea but I'm not gonna stop now.

There are so many benefits of taking omega 3. It's great for brain function, skin, hair, nails, ,cholesterol, heart conditions the list goes on.  What I really love about Efamol is that it is NOT a fish oil so it is completely vegetarian friendly. It's an environmentally friendly alternative to fish oil supplements as it is a plant based source of DHA and EPA extracted from sustainable and renewable marine micro algae. I'm not actually vegetarian but if you've ever taken a fish oil before you will know about the fishy burps, well you don't get them with these little capsules and I like the fact that no fish were harmed in the making of the capsules. I take one tablet in the morning with my breakfast.

Efamol – EnvirOmega is available online at www.efamol.com and in most Boots stores and Boots online, priced at £11.99 for 60 capsules.

Benefits are improvement in health of skin, stronger nails and hair, lower cholesterol.  I have noticed a massive improvement in the condition of my hair since taking Biotin, it is so much thicker and has grown a lot quicker.  I've also noticed that my nails have stopped splitting and are so much stronger since taking them (hooray). I take one tablet in the morning and another at night.

Do you have any recommendations?

1-2. A picnic under the most beautiful tree. 3-5. A gorgeous walk enjoying all the flowers in the glorious sunshine, technically this wasn't the weekend because we did this on Thursday. 6-8.  Fletcher decided to get finger paint all over himself.
9.Outfit planning-I went to a kiddies party on Friday afternoon so kept it nice and casual. 10.Movie Night - We watched Divergent on Friday evening,  I thoroughly enjoyed it and Theo James who plays Four was pretty easy on the eye. 11.Saturday Shopping, wanted everything in Topshop but settled for these 3 items, LOVE the skirt so much. 12.Girls night out, wearing the skirt.  Had an absolute blast with everyone.
13.Post workout smoothie-Mango, Pineapple, Banana, Greek yoghurt, handful of oats and dash of soya milk, yum! 14.Clean brushes. 15.Listing clothes on e-bay and listening to Nick Jonas, Jealous on repeat.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Mine was pretty awesome.
