Top-Oasis//Jeans-Hollister(Ryan)//Brogues-Schuh(Red or Dead)

Its been a while hasn't it!  Sorry there was no weekend snippets post last week but I literally spent the whole weekend sorting out my loft.  I read The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo and got ridiculously inspired to sort my life out, starting with the loft, where I had stored all of Fletcher's old baby items (in case there was ever a baby number 2).  I had always wanted 2 children but last July when we found out Fletch was diabetic it completely changed our future and my outlook on life and at this moment in time I just can't see baby number 2 happening, but never say never, maybe i'll change my mind, but then again maybe I wont.  Nevertheless I have been going crazy tidying and sorting ever since last weekend and have so far gone through my books, my clothes, Fletcher's clothes and got rid of a ridiculous amount of stuff and sold nearly all of Fletcher's old clothes as well as giving a load to charity, it's really liberating and now I've started I can't stop.  Next on my list is to tackle the kitchen cupboards (which I will be doing this morning).  I have shared some photos on my Instagram so be sure to follow me on there to follow my progress.

Anyway this is an outfit from a good couple of weeks ago.  It would seem our summer disappeared the second the kids broke up from school, I hope this means it will return in the form of an Indian summer when the kids go back, hmmmm wishful thinking.  To be honest, Im soooo over summer now and want it to be Autumn already, staying cosy by the fire, wearing my favourite plaid scarves, hot chocs with marshies, Halloween and bonfire night, sparklers etc.

Happy Weekend Everyone

Working out//delicious breakfast//sorting my kitchen shelves
A trip to the Garden Centre//Lots of gardening//baking checkerboard shortbread (because of GBBO)
A trip to the Steam Engine Rally where I got stung on my arse by a wasp within 20 minutes of being there.  Fletcher had a great time and I had the time of my life getting my butt cheek sponged down in the St John's Ambulance tent.
Did a spot of shopping in Truro and picked up some beauties in TK Maxx//New grid bed sheets//made my own bath bomb for Fletch//wore my current fave trousers from H&M//had yet another BBQ (thats 3 weeks in a row now)

I hope you all had lovely weekends.  Here's to the next one.

I have been thinking about a career change for quite some time. I have worked for the NHS for 14 years and started working at my local hospital at the ripe age of 17 and have been there ever since. I started off as an apprentice and worked my way up to Medical Secretary Team Leader.

These last couple of years I've been feeling increasingly unhappy in my job, I love all the people that I work with but the job has changed so much (not for the better) and its got me thinking that maybe its time for a change.

All of my friends will agree that I am completely beauty/make up obsessed and it's something that gets me ridiculously excited.  So with that in mind I am going back to college next month to study Beauty Therapy Level 2.  I actually can't wait to learn all about skincare and how to perform facials and how to wax and tint eyebrows etc.  I'm sure my friends will be more than happy to be my guinea pigs.  And although I know it will be a salary drop I can't help but think that being happy in a job is better for your health.

This weekend I ate a lot of watermelon//Fletcher got a new green insulin pump as his blue one is cracked//I got some subtle highlights done at my friends salon (link)//we picked some of the tomatoes from my dying tomato plant//I baked Madiera cake with my little helper after being inspired by The Great British Bake Off (much excitement)//Took a visit to Healey's Cyder Farm and bought jam (not cider, its cheaper in Tesco)//Had another BBQ.

Not pictured - Working out//crepes & croissants for breakfast// a lovely long lie in//Booking a little getaway to Dorset//Roast dinner at my parents house//watching Life of Pi on telly (and really enjoying it).

Until next time.......

MAYBELLINE THE NUDES PALETTE - I bought this after watching Lou Teasdale using it on Instagram. It is by far the best drugstore/highstreet eye shadow palette available.  I would even go as far as saying I love it as much as my Urban Decay Naked palette.

REN CLARIMATTE TONER - I've seen a definite improvement in my complexion since using this.  It is much smoother and my moisturiser sinks in so much nicer after using it.

BODY SHOP BLUE CORN 3 IN 1 MASK - I love my weekly face mask and I picked this one up when Body Shop had 40% off (like they so often do).  This one is fab and I love it because it's exfoliating as well as cleansing.

GIORGIO ARMANI LUMINOUS SILK FOUNDATION 5.5 - I picked this up in Selridges when I went to London for Hampton Court Flower Show.  It really is a rather lovely, luxurious foundation and I've been reaching for it almost every day and It doesn't budge all day.  Apparently L'Oreal True Match is a great dupe for this (and cheaper alternative).

MAC AMBER LIGHTS - I've been wanting to add this eye shadow to my collection for a little while and so when I was in London I picked this up.  It is such a gorgeous gold/copper colour.

PALMERS DARK CHOCOLATE & CHERRY LIP TINT- I bought this to take on holiday with me as it has SPF15 and no word of a lie I have worn it pretty much every day since i bought it! The colour is like your lips but better.  It's fab and smells pretty good too.

JO MALONE PEONY & BLUSH SUEDE FRAGRANCE - Oh my goodness, this smells divine. This was an anniversary present from Dylan in June and i've been wearing it to death. The perfect summer fragrance.  Blackberry & Bay is next on my list.

PATTERNED TROUSERS - I've really been into "loud" trousers recently.  I know they are not everyone's cup of tea but I think with a plain top they look really great.  The leaf print ones are from Topshop (and are rather annoyingly currently in the sale at £20) the other pair are from H&M

DUNGAREES TOPSHOP - I swear if the weather was better here I would wear these every day. That being said I have worn them as much as I can and I do still want them in longer length.

GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL - I really enjoyed this film and can see why it won a BAFTA.  I wont go into the film but if you havent seen it I do recommend it.

SONGS - Oh my god, there are so many songs that I'm loving.  Whilst walking around Hollister recently there was a song playing which I instantly liked but had no idea who it was so I quickly whipped Shazam out and discovered it was Shawn Mendes. He is only 16 years old but seriously guys I love this song so much, check it out.

Also loving Years & Years - Shine//Shaggy - I Need Your Love// The Weeknd - I Can't Feel My Face// Calvin Harris - How Deep Is Your Love// Little Mix - Black Magic// Charlie Puth & Meghan Trainor - Marvin Gaye// James Bay Album - Chaos and the Calm
